This week on 1 Week, 1 Recipe 👋, we’re baking Famous Amos-style cookies from @Che Nom Official 🍪✨ I’ve been working every day, including weekends, so I barely had the time to rest or upload this week’s video but we’re finally here 😭 The cookies don’t taste exactly like Famous Amos, but honestly… they taste DELICIOUS! I learned a lot from this recipe. The first batch was too burnt 🥲, the second was too soft 😭, but the third batch? PERFECT. 👌🏻 At first, I kept the dough in the fridge for 1 hour, but the cookies stayed too thick and didn’t spread. So, I left the dough at room temperature before baking, and it worked much better! I also learned how to pipe the cookies properly. Keep the nozzle at the height you want your cookies to be and pipe until you reach that height. I was piping mine too high, which made the cookies too thick and undercooked inside. 😭 Happy baking everyone, hope you enjoy this recipe! See you next week ❤️. Ingredients • 310g all-purpose flour • 60g cornflour • 1 tsp baking powder • 1 tsp baking soda • 250g butter • 200g brown sugar • ½ tsp salt • 1 egg • 1 tsp vanilla extract • 4 tbsp corn oil • 350g chocolate chips Instructions 1. Beat the cool, slightly softened butter, brown sugar and salt until combined. 2. Mix in the egg and vanilla extract. 3. In a separate bowl, sift together the all-purpose flour, cornflour, baking soda and baking powder. 4. Add ⅓ of the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, continue mixing. 5. Pour in the corn oil and stir well. 6. Add the remaining dry ingredients, mix until combined. 7. Fold in the chocolate chips. 8. Chill the dough for 1 hour (optional). If the dough is too firm and the cookies stay bulky, let it come to room temperature before piping. 9. Pipe onto a baking tray and bake at 140°C for 14 minutes. Bake on the middle rack for 10 minutes, then move to the top rack and bake for another 4 minutes. 10. Make sure to cool down the cookies before serving :). #baking #baker #famousamos #chocolatechipcookies #crunchy
