@lauramichelle_713: Do you feel lucky? 🍀 I absolutely do. In fact, I think I’m the luckiest lady in the world. ❤️ Am I paralyzed? Yep. Can I breathe on my own? Nope. But I’m ALIVE—and thanks to a ventilator, I’m still breathing, even if my lungs need a little technological assistance. 😂 I have the best family—even if we’re all a little crazy. I have incredible friends and some of the most amazing people in my life. I have a roof over my head, wheels to get me around, a van to get me going, and food in my stomach… maybe even a little too much food. Have you seen my big butt lately?! 😂🍑 It would be really easy for me to look at everything I’ve lost and call myself unlucky. And trust me, I have those days. But when I look at everything I still have, I realize just how lucky I really am. Sometimes luck isn’t about the cards you were dealt. It’s about what you choose to see when you look at your hand. There will always be something missing. Something we wish were different. Something someone else has that we don’t. But there is also so much we overlook because we’ve gotten used to having it. So look around today and ask yourself: Do you feel lucky? 🍀 Because the way you perceive yourself and your life has more power than you may ever realize. I can’t move my body.
