Imo, being funny comes AFTER you overcome being socially awkward, you just can’t be funny without being confident, unless they’re laughing at you. If you want to stop being socially awkward then you need to get out your comfort zone and talk to more people, that’s just my take tho.

I’ve actually learned that under the right social conditions and settings, it’s actually not as hard to make others laugh as people may think. When the spirits are high, the bar for what is funny becomes really low, which is good.

I don’t agree, being funny is a double edge sword where you can quickly become the buffoon, the mascot of the group or meeting and that gets you disrespected overtime

Perfectly said, I fixated on being funny my entire life because I was discriminated so harshly for my looks and race, then fixated on my looks to help a little. One only thing that's still hard is abruptly stopping my laugh around people
