I did a uni course out there and I can confirm two things: 1) the entire place is freezing cold no matter how many heaters you have going and 2) it’s fking terrifying at night. Good luck

This site is on both the heritage register (buildings) and heritage inventory (archaeology), as well as cultural heritage significance. Curious how the block is going to get around all that.

this is also going to be a nightmare for the locals, there is only one road up to the old asylum which has 2 primary schools on it. I can only imagine how busy and difficult it will make getting to the schools be.

ummm so I have 1 question that I couldnt get off my mind the whole time you where talking... what about all the graves? ive seen they've taken all the head stones off them but like there is thousands of bodies there i could never ever live there specially after the stories mums told me from her time working there in the 70s 😭 all those poor babies

The smell is from the Bulla tip, you don't smell it from that far into Sunbury, it's only when you go to Sunbury via behind the airport which you won't for Jackson's Hill. But I am loathing the tradie traffic this is going to cause in the area. That road is one way in one way out and it SUCKS at the best of times 🥲

My husband used to work as a security guard there a couple of years ago, and yeah, it’s haunted. I wouldn’t live there or build there.

I painted that place when I was 16-17 as it was going to be a uni campus the carvings on the walls and scratches from finger nails was fullon rooms with walls full of hay for padded walls
