I think it was the uncle that stayed with them for a few days. How could she clean up all the blood from clothes and skin. No blood on any of her items. Not Lizzy.

Grew up knowing the song and learned about her case/story as a child. Met my now husband who is a Borden, and he had no knowledge of the story. Family and friends kept asking if he was related but he said no….last year one of his relatives said they’ve been keeping track of the Borden line and guess who turned up in his family tree 😅

Yall fan lesbian fan fic was first written about them in the early 1900’s and Lizzie did use her father’s fortune for social and animal welfare work later in life….

I felt like it was possibly the uncle... or she could have been being abused. But the uncle staying more often before the deaths and the fact Lizzie was in her 30's... like if she wanted to why wait so long? I think the getting sick was a poisoning attempt, uncle probably bought the poison and that is why he was sticking around. But when the dosage only made them sick he realized he needed a new plan...

I'm gonna flip the script and say, they prob deserved it if she did. she went on to be a very kind woman who loved helping people (and cats 🥹) and just lived an unproblematic life. it makes more sense that the uncle did it, and Lizzie knew not to be present
