@ttneedsaminute: Before I go to bed… Is Perimenopause insomnia is being unable to keep your eyes open at 8 PM… then somehow being WIDE AWAKE at 3 AM wondering if you should pee, put the blanket back on… or just accept that this is morning now? #beforeigotobed #momsover40 #peri #insomnia
Menopause is never sleeping more than 6 to 7 hours. So I just go to bed at midnight. At least they’re all in a row, so the middle of the night wake ups have stopped.

It’s a thing and it’s very real - mine is waking up at 3:40am. Always. Exactly. And then tired around 7am.

Oh I'm on the 4pm to 9 pm sleep schedule for now. I'll get myself back on a decent schedule and then it happens all over again. last week I took a 40 minute nap and was up for the next 36 hours. I hate it here

pretty much... I cant do HRT because of family medical history of breast cancer. I started it early, as well because I had a hysterectomy. So I just have to suffer with herbal supplements. 😳

My whole body will just become itchy. Also I made an egg salad one day(the eggs were FINE) ran some errands after and when I came back I thought I had a gas leak in my home(fun fact my house isn’t attached to a gas line) but the smell was SO pungent. Perimenopause is wacky as fuck.

I suffered for years before I realized it was perimenopause. I’m using HRT now and that progesterone at bedtime is life changing. I just sleep now and it’s amazing.

I read that if you wake up around 3 or 4 am, especially if you fall asleep without issue, your issue is actually raised cortisol.
