My great uncle was killed by a US soldier in a brawl at a party meant to bring the British and US soldiers together in 1942 in Belfast. His name was Owen McLoughlin and he was born and raised in Motherwell. Apparently the British soldiers hated the US soldiers and there had been alot of fighting amongst them at that point.

Lived in Hamilton but this was even before my dad was about. Interesting though thanks!! There was a murder in Cambuslang girl found at west coats school by kids, could be a good one for you. 👏👏👍🏻
