WWE Legend Ric Flair Is Hospitalized After a Fall Outside a Florida Restaurant, Hours After Canceling an Appearance Ric Flair is recovering in the hospital after a fall outside a restaurant in Tampa, Fla. He is 77. TMZ reported that the fall happened on Friday, Oct. 23. Photos obtained by TMZ show him lying on his back, surrounded by medical staff. He was later put in an ambulance. TMZ also reported that he cut his head and that his eye was “bleeding extensively.” That detail comes from TMZ and has not been confirmed by PEOPLE. It came hours after Flair posted on Instagram that he was canceling a Seattle appearance. He said he is dealing with a blood clot in his leg. He said his doctors have limited his travel to three or four hours. “Blood clots are extremely serious and can be life-threatening,” he wrote. He mentioned the recent news about Jalen Hurts. Flair said he is set to have a procedure “to strip the affected vein.” He hopes it will let him travel more.
