@mr.ultrarunner: A Simple Hack for Traditional Pole Straps My Leki poles broke right before the race, so I had to race with poles that had traditional wrist straps. And damn, they were annoying! The pole kept slipping out of my hand, the strap kept twisting, and I had to constantly adjust it and get my hand back into the right position. Then, at some point during the race, the poles basically showed me this trick by themselves. And it worked surprisingly well: my hand stayed secure, I had good control of the pole, and the strap stopped flapping around and getting twisted.
