If they really did this, this is wrong. That restaurant should be ashamed of themselves. Tipping never should be forced, considering the fact. The most waitresses and waiters are young people, and they're more .concerned with laughing and giggling among each other and playing on their phones than they are about doing their job if they can't survive without tips, then they need to learn to suck it up and get a second job or find a better one this tipping culture is out of control

The restaurant should not add tip, if they do, they should ensure that is Super, super clear what they do. State it in the menu, on the entrance door of the restaurant and on their website. May lose business but if the rule of the restaurant is to automatically add a tip, people should know ahead of time so they can decide if they want to continue to do business
