@troysandleyphysio: Sitting up straight all day without support encourages tension and discomfort in your lower back. Two things to try instead: 1. Seated roll down — chin drops, roll down one segment at a time, let the back round. Gravity does the work. Roll back up slowly. Breathe throughout deep into the base, back and sides of your ribcage. 2. Forearms on the desk, with your lower back rounded. Breathe in through your nose, deep into the base, back and sides of your ribcage - not up into your chest. Long breath out through the mouth. Both are teaching your back and nervous system to let go of that tense, compressed feeling. Follow for more back pain education!
