How were you getting jobs with 1 year of experience? I have close to 7 years but I moved around to different roles a lot due to progressing in a startup where they just moved me where they needed the most help. Every job requires 3+ years of experience in a specific job, not the whole of your career. I keep getting told I don’t have enough experience for jobs that require 3 years of experience because I don’t have 3 years in any 1 role. Maybe this was more doable in the past.
