@channelnewsasia: Thai immigration police raided a luxury mansion in Bangkok’s Bang Bon district on Wednesday (Sep 16) and uncovered a transnational call-centre scam targeting victims in Japan. They found a room set up with desks and prepared scripts allegedly used to contact victims, as well as another room with fake Japanese police uniforms and identification cards. At least 14 people, most of them foreigners, have been detained for questioning and drug testing. Mobile phones, SIM cards, tablets, computers and other equipment were also seized. #thailand #thailandnews #scams
