@anbers4: Malantou (Indian Aster): Malantou is a traditional wild vegetable that grows in fields, along roadsides, and on hillsides, with its tender young leaves being especially delicious in spring. It has small green leaves with a distinctive fresh aroma and a slightly bitter taste. It has long been eaten in China, especially in the Jiangnan region, where it is often blanched and served cold or stir-fried with ingredients such as tofu and dried tofu. From the perspective of TCM dietary therapy, Malantou is pungent and bitter in taste and cool in nature. It is traditionally believed to clear heat and detoxify, cool the blood and stop bleeding, and promote urination and reduce swelling. These are traditional TCM dietary concepts and should not be regarded as established medical treatments.
