@narcissism.therapy: 1/ "YOU'RE TOO SENSITIVE, IT WAS JUST A JOKE" This is called minimizing. He says something cruel then tells you that you are overreacting. Suddenly you are defending your reaction instead of his disrespect. He does not have to apologize because you are now the problem for being hurt. 2/ "WELL YOU DID THIS 3 YEARS AGO" This is called whataboutism. You bring up how he hurt you yesterday and he brings up a mistake you made in 2021. He does not have to take accountability because now you are on trial for something completely unrelated. 3/ "EVERYONE THINKS YOU'RE CRAZY EXCEPT ME" This is called appeal to the crowd. "My mom agrees, my friends think you are too much." He pretends everyone is on his side so you feel outnumbered and insane. There is no logic, just fake majority to make you doubt yourself. 4/ "IF YOU LOVED ME YOU WOULD JUST LET IT GO" This is called emotional blackmail disguised as logic. He makes your love the condition for his bad behavior being okay. You cannot argue with that because now if you hold a boundary, it means you do not love him. 5/ "I NEVER SAID THAT, YOU'RE IMAGINING THINGS" This is called straight up gaslighting. He denies what he clearly said, what you both know happened. You start recording conversations, screenshotting texts, questioning your memory. He does not need logic when he can just erase reality.
