@atherbaqi250326: This is verse 16 of Surah Al-Hadid—a direct admonition from God to the believers themselves. ﴿أَلَمْ يَأْنِ لِلَّذِينَ آمَنُوا أَنْ تَخْشَعَ قُلُوبُهُمْ لِذِكْرِ اللَّهِ وَمَا نَزَلَ مِنَ الْحَقِّ وَلَا يَكُونُوا كَالَّذِينَ أُوتُوا الْكِتَابَ مِنْ قَبْلُ فَطَالَ عَلَيْهِمُ الْأَمَدُ فَقَسَتْ قُلُوبُهُمْ ۖ وَكَثِيرٌ مِنْهُمْ فَاسِقُونَ﴾ [Al-Hadid 57:16] The Qur’an teaches that faith should not remain a claim spoken by the tongue. A believing heart is meant to soften before the remembrance of God and the truth He revealed, submitting to its guidance and responding through obedience. The verse warns believers not to repeat the failure of many among earlier religious communities: as time passed and heedlessness continued, their hearts became hardened. The danger is not the passage of time itself, but repeatedly hearing divine guidance without allowing it to transform the heart and conduct.
