They took down The Pillar's banner protesting HB 9414 and 9861, refused to give a single valid reason, and went as far as nearly pushing a student down the stairs during the standoff. Student councils, organizations, and concessionaires worked tirelessly for days to prepare for this event, only to have our hard work invalidated and our rights trampled on because the administration is threatened by a piece of cloth. This is blatant oppression and cowardice. We have the right to press freedom, we have the right to artistic liberty, and we will not be intimidated by these cheap, forceful tactics.
