Olofin Adimula Oodua Pays Historic Visit to the Palace of His Imperial Majesty, Aláyélúwà Oba Enitan Adeyeye Ogunwusi, Ojaja II: Officially Delivers His Invitation Card as the Royal Guest of Honour for the Forthcoming Coronation Anniversary Earlier today Tuesday 7th April, 2026 His Majesty, Aláyélúwà Ọba Olúṣọlá Idris Adébọ̀wálé Làmídì-Ọsọ́lọ̀, the Oba of Adó and Olofin Adimula Oodua of Aworiland, paid a royal visit to his ancestral home, Ile-Ife, where he was warmly received at the palace of His Imperial Majesty, Oba Enitan Ogunwusi. The primary purpose of the visit was formally conveyed during the royal audience, as the Olofin Adimula Oodua respectfully extended an official invitation to the Ooni of Ife to serve as the Royal Guest of Honour at the grand finale of his 2nd Year Coronation Anniversary, scheduled to hold on Saturday, 16th May, 2026. The visit also provided an avenue for the Oba of Adó to recount profound narratives surrounding ancient Yoruba artifacts with deep-rooted connections to Ado-Odo. Of particular mention was the historic Lander Coronation Stool, an artifact of immense cultural and royal significance which was looted by British colonial forces. His Majesty also spoke on the sacred Ibeji (twins) artifact, originally from Ado-Odo, similarly taken during the colonial era. These recollections reflected the enduring legacy of Ado-Odo and by extension, Awori civilization and the urgent need for cultural preservation and historical justice. Accompanying His Majesty on this historic visit were distinguished members of his entourage, including Chief Kazeem Arebi, the Baba Oba of Ado-Odo; selected members of the Royal Contact and Mobilization Committee for the forthcoming anniversary; the Oloosha; selected members of the Olofin Council of Chiefs; as well as dedicated Palace aides. Kazeem Akinsola Nasir [CFM, CABM, MERIN], The Ìríjú Àgbà Oyè & Secretary to the Palace of the Oba of Adó & Olofin Adimula Oodua of Aworiland. Tuesday 7th April, 2026
