Much easier to build a network when you come from a place of privilege. None of my high school or university friends even work in the same country I’m in let along the field! Really tough if you change job field too

Networking does not change what’s on your CV. Doesn’t matter how well you network if the skills and experience aren’t there then messaging people on LinkedIn doesn’t suddenly make them appear
