Golf courses have grass, which is a part of the world we live on….water benefits grass which benefits the ecosystem and by proxy life….therefore water being used on golf courses is actually beneficial. AI only takes it doesn’t giveth

Golf courses are spread out over acres, and data centers concentrate heavily in local micro-watersheds that strain municipal supplies. Golf course water use is flat and dropping due to drought-resistant turf. Data center resource use is growing, although things are being done in the industry to reduce it through closed-loop and air/hybrid cooling. However, the trade-off is that it uses even more energy, and a single hyperscale data center uses thousands of times more than any golf course. I could go on, but you need to take in the whole story of why people are focusing on it. Plus, no one blames a golf course lately for wells drying out. That is because the water draw is instant versus more gradual.
