i think he's a fine healer and his burst gets a nice buff at C2! you're talking of rotations and everything but really he's a good option for everyone that doesn't have a good healer. he's easy to build, only requires ER and HP (and maybe EM if you get his c2) and that's pretty much it? he's definitely not meta, but he's a very fine addition to anyone's roster

he was the ONE character i ever wanted from dendro since i first saw him starting the game on release i got him C1 day 1 on his release banner, temper thyself gave me C2 and genuinely C2 is the comfiest thing to ever hit my account, that passive dendro application mid rotations is so satisfying

I'm picking him for his c4, but something to know is that he works best with another dendro character in the team which partly solves the er problem. in burning teams he's about as good as Nahida (both on full deepwood), so if you play kinich or Emilie he'd be a great unit to have. when you use his burst the team gets a dendro reaction buff based on his hp (capped at 50k) so yes if you do not have a Dendro dps or another dendro support for the team i wouldn't pick him, if you do have another Dendro character to play him with then he's pretty good :)
