For the last three days, my 13-year-old Great Dane could not stand up. If you know Great Danes, you know what 13 years means. Most Great Danes live to between the ages of 7-9. She is an old girl. And watching this enormous, beautiful animal who has been beside me for so many years suddenly unable to stand up was heartbreaking. I was preparing myself for the possibility that we were at the end. But I also did what I have always done when life brings me to the edge of what I can control: I prayed. I surrounded her with love and crystal gridded her dog bed. I focused on nourishing, healthy food and supporting her body in every way available to me. And I turned to energy healing. I did reiki with her every morning and night. Jeremy Thompson @JerBear Vision also reached out to me and asked if Maui, my dog, could use a quantum healing session for her. I said absolutely!! And then something happened that I still almost can’t believe I’m writing: She got up. After three days of being unable to stand, my 13-year-old Great Dane was suddenly able to get onto her feet. And she walked. I am not sharing this to tell anyone that energy healing replaces veterinary medicine. It doesn’t. Nor can I scientifically tell you what caused the change I witnessed. I am sharing it because I think we have become far too comfortable believing that only the things we can measure are meaningful. There is power in medicine. There is power in nutrition. There is power in supporting the body’s own capacity to heal. There is power in touch, intention, energy, love and connection. And, for me, there is extraordinary power in prayer. I don’t believe wellness has to require us to choose one world and reject another. Science or spirituality. Medicine or energy. The physical body or consciousness. Perhaps the future of wellness is learning to ask a much bigger question: What happens when we care for the whole being? Body. Mind. Energy. Environment. Spirit. I don’t know how much more time I have with my girl. At 13, every additional day with a Great Dane is a gift. But today, I watched her walk. And today, I am profoundly grateful. Sometimes hope doesn’t arrive as an answer. Sometimes it gets up on four legs and walks across the room. ❤️ Believe in miracles. #jesus #energyhealing #prayer
