@kodekloud: What Is a DDoS Attack? 🛑 A denial of service attack overwhelms a server with far more traffic than it can handle, so real users get locked out while the machine is stuck answering fake requests. When it comes from a single computer, it's a DoS, and blocking that one IP address stops it fast. A DDoS is the harder version. The attacker spreads the flood across thousands of hijacked devices around the world, like home routers, cameras, and laptops, so there's no single source to block. Filter too hard and you cut off your own customers along with the attack. Could a firewall alone stop a DDoS, or do you need a service like Cloudflare?
