She was married to 20 year old Maraj Zafar They’d only been married a matter of months when she found out she was pregnant.. The couple had got married in October 2021 just months after police had to put in place an apprehended violence order in the May when Maraj had threatened to unalive her DAD?! Maraj was incredibly controlling towards her and abusive. She finally built up the courage in January 2022 to text him telling him she wanted a divorce. It was the 29th of the month that Maraj’s mum got a text - a confession from her son. This caused her to ring the police who raced to the apartment and found a horrific crime scene. Maraj went on the run and detectives were trying to piece together the evidence, when he finally handed himself in to police. He had made attempts to conceal evidence and had looked online how long he was likely to get in prison.
