If you have a Uk based Amex platinum you can get into delta lounges if flying on delta even on domestic flights. Doesn’t work with USA based platinum cards but does with uk based ones.

It’s still a really nice experience, US Airlines don’t include luggage, and they’ve just increased their prices I was not impressed when I found out, but I think you still got a really good deal. How many points did you upgrade to 1st because every time I wanna upgrade with Delta it’s a ridiculous amount.

This is a big US/rest of the world difference. US airlines are just stingier…they don’t include lounge access on domestic flights (in some cases Canada/Mexico/Caribbean also excluded) and require long flights for food (vs full meals on 20 minute flights in Asia)
