@alce.figureskate: For the longest time, i kept putting off my ISI tests. Party because i was just lazy. But also because after switching to my Russian coach, our focus has always been ISU. I honestly didn’t think i’d ever compete in ISI again. But the reality is being an adult skater, there aren’t many opportunities to compete under the ISU system. In Indonesia, it’s basically only nationals once a year, and many adult ISU events also have age requirements that i don’t meet yet. So instead of waiting another year between competitions, i decided to change my approach. I’m going to use ISI competitions to gain experience. I honestly think ISU is more challenging. I find it technically more demanding, but i also love that it gives you more freedom in building your programs and choosing your elements. Either ISU or ISI, competition experience is competition experience. So here’s to many more comps, wherever the opportunity comes. #figureskating #IceSkating #figureskater #athlete #competition
