@kelsey.affiliate: The slow life tax is what you give up to have a calm life. My Grandma taught me that every life costs something….you just have to pick which way you pay. You can pay the slow life tax up front. Which means you get up before the kids, you say no to things you'd like to do, you leave your phone in another room and you let people ‘think’ you're boring. The fast life tax gets billed later. It’s a short temper at 5pm with zero patience. It’s kids who get the tired version of you who says “maybe later” and a spouse who gets whatever's leftover.
