I was wrong about one thing after graduating Cum Laude: akala ko being good at what I do would be enough to succeed in business. HAHAHA. 🤣 BS Computer Engineering graduate ako, and I’ve always been more comfortable figuring out complicated tech problems kaysa makipag-usap sa strangers para magbenta. I love building websites, automations, and solving technical problems. Pero ung ako mismo ang unang mag-aapproach sa potential clients? Ibang level ng challenge un for me. HAHAHA. 😂 Kaya one thing I did was surround myself with people na magaling sa part na un. Ung naturally comfortable makipag-usap, mag-build ng connections, at magbenta. And honestly, malaking tulong talaga. For years, mas sanay din ako na opportunities ang lumalapit sakin. Through referrals, connections, or people who already knew what I could do. Pero ngayon, I’m realizing something. Hindi pwedeng lagi nalang akong maghintay na ma-discover ng right people. Especially kapag may sarili kang business na gusto mong palaguin. Being good at your craft is one skill. Learning how to communicate its value and find clients is another. So ngayon, I’m intentionally learning how to prospect, initiate conversations, and get more comfortable talking about my services. Hindi pa ako expert sa sales. Far from it. HAHAHA. But I’d rather learn something I’m uncomfortable with than keep losing opportunities just because ayoko maunang kumausap. Cum Laude sa engineering. Still a student pagdating sa sales. Ikaw, anong skill ung kailangan mong matutunan ngayon para hindi ka na ma-limit sa opportunities na kaya mong makuha? 🤔 #EntrepreneurJourney #PersonalGrowth #WomenInTech #cjestavillo #cjbuildssystems
