I was just at the wedding of my sons’ best friend, ( my son died by suicide at age 20. Nine years ago). The first thing the officiant said was this was a safe space for crying. I felt like that was meant for me. Both bride and groom told me they loved me. They knew how hard it was for me to be so happy for them yet sad my son was not there. They honored not only my son, but me as well. 💙💙💙

I wish I had more time with him. He never saw me graduate. He’ll never see me get married. It just sucks bc what could have been could have been so beautiful.
