Liverpool was actually bombed so much during the war they didn’t know what to do with all the rubble so it got dumped at the north end of Crosby beach. You can still go and see it today. The beach just turns into bricks and rubble

My Aunty traced our family back to the 1700’s in Liverpool when the first Mr.G arrived from eastern England. There’s a street bearing our family name in the city centre. Turns out they were merchants, prominently engaged in the trade ‘triangle’. 😳
