My dad had sepsis in 2019. He went in to get a hernia removed but developed sepsis to no ones knowledge. One day he was fine and going on walks around the hospital the next he was dead. its a cruel thing sepsis

My mum currently has an infection in her toenail from getting it removed and I’m telling her to go to the doctor asap but she can’t be bothered 😭 keep in mind she’s already had it once (luckily she had nothing life changing from it), hopefully she’ll be fine to go tomorrow 😔

My son developed sepsis when he was around 9 months old the doctors said from a uti I was terrified bc he would wake up and was acting strangely and so I rushed him to the er and got accused of all kinds of stuff till they checked his blood and urine and sure enough it was an infection and I kept telling them but they wouldn’t listen just kept accusing me of stuff 🥺 I’m so thankful I made them listen and my baby boy is 2 🩵

I had sepsis (not septic shock thankfully) caused by appendicitis a few months ago and the nurses were constantly gaslighting me, 'don't be dramatic you dont have sepsis and youre fine to wait until tomorrow for surgery' and whispering nasty stuff abt me while i was being sick and my blood pressure was so low my limbs were going numb, and then a doctor came in and immediately was like 'yeah you have sepsis you need the surgery asap' 🙃🙃🙃 Uk healthcare is a joke
