Her four-month-old baby, Lord, was sleeping in a bassinet when the tornado tore through the home. The storm lifted the bassinet, with Lord and his father, into the air. His father was thrown from the home and suffered a broken arm and shoulder while trying to protect his son. Meanwhile, Sydney protected her one-year-old as the walls collapsed around them. After the tornado passed, the family searched desperately for Lord for about ten minutes. They feared the worst. Then they found him. Lord was lying safely among the branches of a fallen tree, with only a small cut on his face. Their home was destroyed, but their family survived. “He’s here,” Sydney said, “and that’s by the grace of God.” 🙏❤️
