I just straight up tell them once we start talking. That way no wastes their time. I had Uterine Cancer, and I think the hardest part of the conversation is about having a potential future like having a family because I’m just at high risk. Even though I’m cancer free, the what if’s are still in the back if my head. Even if it’s just something causal and I’m not in the mood it’s actually really I’m in pain and some guys don’t fcking understand🙃 what got me to be straightforward on talking about the cancer is when I first started talking to a guy after being diagnosed he told me I was just better off killing myself 😂 because I decided on a different route on treatment than what HE WANTED me to do or be on

I know this obviously is not the same but I am going back to uni after two years out because of health issues (primarily related to my reproductive system) and I am so nervous to meet classmates like I am way too awkward for this

Non-cancerous brain tumour for me. Same problem. It’s such a taboo subject in dating and the cause of many failed dates. Between having a patch of hair missing because of the radiation and the scarring I’m a lost cause 😂

I fully understand this, I have so many scars from surgeries I've had, plus stoma bag, it definitely makes me a bit self conscious but on the other hand im proud of my sacrs, reminds me of the fight i got through 💪💙

Oh my god…. This is me all the time. I didn’t think I would have to do this again by my partner left when I got cancer so now I have to start again and I just CANT!!!!

My bf and I had only been dating for two months when I was diagnosed he’s been with me through the surgery and cancer treatment our six mo anniversary is this month ❤️trying to get to know someone while also navigating having cancer almost seemed impossible it’s not when you are with the right person

If it's any comfort US renal patients are in the same room as you are go to hospital 3 times a week, walk around with a chest line in and if you are lucky enough to go on a date and actually progress. Hopefully that person isn't going to be put off , but the chances are they will be , and they'll make up an excuse not to see you again
