@thelexuswoman: The Lexus RX 500h F SPORT Performance is my favourite member of the RX family, and it’s not because I’m trying to sell you one. It’s because this RX has personality. ...and proudly built in Canada It gives you everything people already love about the RX: a spacious, beautifully finished cabin, everyday comfort, family-friendly practicality and that signature Lexus smoothness. But underneath, it feels like a completely different animal. Its 2.4-litre turbocharged hybrid powertrain produces 367 horsepower and 406 lb-ft of torque, paired with a real six-speed automatic transmission, not a CVT. It can accelerate from 0–100 km/h in approximately 6.1 seconds. The DIRECT4 all-wheel-drive system continuously controls power between the front and rear axles, giving it confident traction and a much more responsive, planted feeling through corners. What separates it from many competitors is its balance. It doesn’t try to be an uncomfortable sports SUV just to feel exciting, and its hybrid system isn’t focused only on saving fuel. The electric motor provides immediate low-end response, while the turbo engine keeps delivering power when you need more. Add the adaptive suspension, 21-inch wheels and serious six-piston front brakes, and you get an RX that genuinely enjoys being driven. It can comfortably handle school runs, hockey bags, groceries, road trips and Alberta winters, but when the road opens up, it has plenty of power waiting for you. That’s why the RX 500h is my favourite RX: it never makes you choose between being a responsible adult and actually enjoying your vehicle. And apparently I’m not alone- the owner of our dealership drives one too. 😉
