My moms world famous savory Steak House Meat Loaf at least that was what we called it w/buttery whipped potato’s and oven roasted Brussel Sprouts ..She showed my wife how to make it years ago..my grown kids ask for it every time their coming over now my grandkids are enjoying it..

My Grandma's turkey & stuffing and her eggs which were a weird combo of fried and poached. They were perfect whites cooked yolks runny

My granny would make home made buttermilk biscuits with White Lily self rising flour. She would use bacon grease (solidified) as the lard. And Jimmy Dean original sausage. Then she would scramble up eggs and add milk to stretch the eggs (we were poor). She would also cook the eggs in the same pan as the bacon and sausage so that grease also helped flavor the eggs.

Of course, my birthday dinner! Fried chicken, chicken gravy, mashed potatoes, corn, biscuits, fruit salad, and a chocolate butter mellow cake! My mom passed away 2 years ago. She was 90. She made it every year for me. I’m 67. I miss my mom.

I’m 50, my Nana passed 15 yrs ago, she never cooked - I MEAN NEVER and my mom never learned how to cook anything other than shake n bake pork chops. So I’m going to have to go with Scotch on the rocks (Nanas favorite) with shake n bake pork chops and apple sauce 😂😂😂😂😂

💙Comfort food fideo or arroz con pollo, homemade beans, mocajete guacamole with Serrano peppers & fresh flour tortillas. I hope to never get too old to feel the comfort from that meal.💙

I was such a picky eater as a kid. My dad grew up in an orphanage... you ate or went hungry, so my meals were spent alone at a small table facing the wall, no inclusion with family...there was one I did love though, beef and barley soup! Pretty much any soup! I'm so glad I finally grew into my taste buds!!!

Fried potatoes with onions and then flour gravy over the top, SOS, which is flower gravy with hamburger meat and onions in it over rice or over biscuits. And she made one of the best lemon meringue pies also
