weird timing. after a break up from a narcissist, my therapist asked me yesterday to think about the three characteristics I'd look for in the future. And while crying (cause I was feeling relieved the ex is not in my life anymore), I blurted out "can the next one at least be tall? is that shallow?" and she went "you know what? let's put that as number one of your list, and we'll go from there" 😂

i’m short so idrc about how tall a man is but like say you want a man who works out a few times a week and is well groomed and you also get jumped. i work out 3-4 times a week and take care of my hygiene and looks so he should too

I I think an uncomfortable truth that many people don’t want to acknowledge is that it is not shallow to want to be attracted to your partner. Different people have different preferences when it comes to what they want their ideal partner to look like. I don’t set a super high standard for looks, but yet any time that I mentioned that I want to be physically attracted to my partner, everyone calls me shallow. Yes looks and personality matter in other news the sky is blue.

I'd prefer a guy at least 2-3 inches taller than me (I'm 5'8). Not really a deal breaker or super strong preference if I really like someone aside from it, but if I could construct someone from scratch yeah. A bigger one is I definitely like brunette men, not a fan of light blond or ginger hair, but luckily that's common enough I don't have any issues.
