How am I going to fix Sergio‘s eyes? 🇲🇽 Walk with me through a revision, “fix it“ plan after previous eyelid surgery. Sergio still had a tired look after his previous upper lid surgery, and it was largely about what DIDN’T happen the first time. The brow and forehead were left completely unaddressed 🎯 Missing this and overdoing the upper eyelid is how men’s eyelids get feminized, how people look different than before, and we’ve all seen it, especially recently. This should be priority number one with anything we look at in the upper lid. To be precise, it’s not even just the brow. That’s the wrong way to say it. It’s really the entire forehead and temple complex. Watch what happens when we reset the forehead and temple back to where they actually want to live 👇🏼 Suddenly we have a much better position for the upper lid at baseline - there’s not nearly as much hooding as it appears. Much of what looks like an eyelid problem is actually coming from above, gravitationally cascading down. His prior upper lid surgeryl actually left a bit of hollowness in the internal section that we now have to account for as well. Moving down to the lower lids 👇🏼 You can see the contrast the previous surgery created:
🔹 Asymmetric positions of his lower lids 🔹 Lower lids being pulled down, retracted 🔹 Scar tissue in the lower lid
🔹 Hollowness from fat that was removed
🔹 A shelf transitioning into his cheek Our plan? Lift and elevate all of it back up into the proper position, then re-volumize where the fat was taken out. This is the work: lower eyelid shape, lower eyelid position, upper eyelid position, symmetry, and replacing everything back where it belongs. These “minor details” are everything, and you can see the differences they make in my results. Revisions are always a greater challenge, and this is exactly the space I live in.
