For those wondering why he is in a cage: the cat was rescued as a kitten and looked after by a local family, who thought he was a normal cat; however, when they realised his behaviour was not like that of other domestic cats, they handed him over to the ‘Senda Verde’ SANCTUARY so that he could receive the necessary care and medical examinations. This sanctuary is the only one in the Bolivian Amazon that fights to save the lives of the animals living there, rescuing them from forest fires caused by illegal mining or poaching.
