Happened to my cousin. Dated that guy for 12 years, he built his career, earned well. Then he wanted to go shopping. She moved on and married a filthy rich man who’s crazy about her (and she about him). It’s been 4 years and he’s still contacting her through various channels and begs her to come back to him. Pathetic.

my cousin went through it too. they had dated since secondary school (a decade or more since then) and last year she called my mom at like 3am, he had broken up with her saying that it wasn't her fault, he was just going through some stuff (never said what stuff, only that he didn't feel okay) I think a week later she saw him at a bar having the best time of his life (no girls around, just him and his friend). his parents offered to keep paying rent despite him having moved out, but she declined and moved elsewhere, idk where the guy is (he was also still studying, something in the medicine field, can't remember what exactly. heck my mom and aunt even pulled some strings here in our city to get him to see an operation in the hospital my mom works at, he didn't participate but he did get to see it) we don't talk about him anymore, broke my cousin's heart so I hate him now

Then, when she doesn't, he says something like, “She moved on so fast.” Bruh, you're the one who was out there looking for other options, thinking you could find someone better than her. I mean, even if she isn't in a relationship/emgaged to someone elso wouldn't change anything. He wanted to explore things, why should she be the one to wait for him EVENTUALLY be ready to take her back. Even if she hasn't her fiance right now doesn't mean she needs him to take her back because NOW he feels ready to commit to her.
