Can we honest about confronting/talking it out with people? It really does not end well…. Most People don’t like being called out at all, it triggers defensiveness so fast and adds injury into the friendship…. Rarely do I meet people who are okay with “hey, this upset me, can we talk about it?” Last time I told an ex friend that this x comment bothered me, please don’t do it. She said “oh yeah okay I won’t”. Guess what? She reframed it and started brining it up as a joke in the most subtle way that if I called it out again, means I’m being very sensitive and dramatic.
