This also massively inflated the real estate market which ultimately popped. It’s also bad for the people, if you have money, you aren’t free to invest in the best options. Imagine being Chinese now and being stuck with only local investment options when the real estate market is bad and the Chinese stock market has been literally at the same level for 5 years. I would be a little bitter and feeling unsafe to spend more, which is what’s happening now. So this is then negatively hurting China’s economy’s ability to become more of a consumer based economy and forcing them to be even more of an unfair exporter to compensate
