“It’s important your kids see you stand up for yourself and leave” 👏👏👏 it is the most important thing to teach them that abuse is not okay and it should not be enabled or tolerated. You leave when you are disrespected because you are worthy of respect. You are worthy of safety. You deserve happiness. Nothing less. You teach your kids this so they know what a healthy relationship looks like and way a healthy life looks like.

Ive done the same… ill never hold onto anyone who doesnt hold onto me. If i have to argue everyday im leaving & if im unhappy im LEAVING. Idc if its any type of relationship (friends family boyfriends) nobody will make me unhappy with my whole life. & my daughter will never see that . Im so proud of you❤️it takes alot to leave!

Ladies yall got this!! I’m five years out, have lived in the same house, same job, started as temp and made my way to supervisor, then to the office, bought my son a car, bought me a new car, taken vacations, been to concerts, God provided the whole journey. same here. i separated from my husband on dec it was hard bc i already was a single mom but i needed to be the example for my child, shes not going to be in a house where a man is mad, loud and scary. im choosing my daughter's peace always.
