You can always fold a heavy duty tarp and have a relatively thick floor where you sleep, and have no floor near the stove and cooking area. That’s what I do. But my setup is far heavier and large in size compared to anything you could actually hike with.

my tent would have a floor in it and I would not be camping when there's two feet of snow on the ground that's for damn sure
