It won Best Group Video at the 2000 MTV VMAs, Best Video at the Kerrang! Awards, and even had to be retired from MTV TRL’s fan-controlled countdown after spending 65 days on the list. In blink-182’s official biography, Tom DeLonge said: “The video for All The Small Things is awesome. Most importantly, we had a chance to laugh at other bands instead of being the band being laughed at. Though I guess, technically, people are still laughing at us... I don’t know. Shit.” And in his 2025 memoir, Mark Hoppus remembered: “When I heard the concept for the All the Small Things video, I wasn’t so sure. The idea for this one was to spoof every major pop music video of the last few years. Wouldn’t it be funny if blink-182 recreated famous videos by Britney Spears, the Backstreet Boys, Christina Aguilera, 98º, and NSYNC? Everyone thought this was a great idea, but I didn’t get it. I wasn’t familiar with the videos we were parodying, and I figured our fans wouldn’t be either. We wrapped the shoot after three days and the director showed us the finished product.
