@derekhough: “LA ROSA” 🌹 It started with a simple call: “Hey, we need something to fill the time while we tally the votes. Would you want to perform?” Of course, my answer was yes. I’m here to serve this show, and I’ll never pass up an opportunity to perform in that ballroom. A room that has given me so much. This piece was inspired by our incredibly special Symphony of Dance tour, but was completely rebuilt and re-choreographed specifically for television. Getting to create it alongside @tessandrachavez , my yin to my yang, is always a gift. Her mind, her standards, her attention to detail, and her relentless pursuit of making something the best it can be. I’m so grateful for our partnership. And these elite dancers. @kailyn_rogers , @selenarhamilton , @charity_dance , @keiraredpath_ , @holden.maples , @rregvaldezz , @calebabea , @diegopasillas_ . If you know , you know . They are top tier! Sharing the floor with you is always an honor. And then there’s my beautiful wife. Watching @hayley.erbert step onto that floor after becoming such an incredible mother, and seeing her shine, dance, and own that space like a BOSS… easily one of my favorite parts of the night. Oh , and pumping literally 5 minutes before we walked on stage . Performances like this are a massive team effort. Lighting, cameras literally running around the ballroom, crew catching guitars and pulling fabric on cue, the band, wardrobe, producers, rehearsals, schedules, and countless moving parts all coming together for a few minutes of live television. Thank you to every single person who touched this performance and helped bring it to life. And thank you to @Dancing with the Stars #DWTS for continuing to give me a floor to create on, perform on, and most importantly, call home. Eternally Grateful 🌹🙏🏼
