@int.animalrescue: These two tiny howler monkeys have had a difficult start to life, so we think they’ve more than earned a good nap. Pete was found in Brasilito. Sadly, we don’t know what happened to his mother, but he was taken into the care of Sol Sanctuary before being transferred to us at International Animal Rescue Costa Rica. Pita was found alone in Santa Cruz, with no troop in sight. She was also cared for by Sol Sanctuary before coming to us. Now, both youngsters are safe in our care, where our team can give them the specialist support they need. Here in Costa Rica, we rescue and rehabilitate wildlife from Nosara and the surrounding areas. Howler monkeys make up a large part of our work, with many arriving after being electrocuted on uninsulated power lines, attacked by dogs or injured on roads. Our aim is always to give every animal the best possible chance of recovery and, where possible, a return to the wild. And if a friend sent you this because they think you deserve a good nap too… hi! We’re International Animal Rescue, a charity dedicated to protecting animals from suffering and helping wildlife around the world. In Costa Rica, our rescue center provides urgent veterinary treatment, rehabilitation and care to wildlife in need. Drop us a follow to stay up to date with this project and our other wildlife conservation efforts across the world!
