I’m gonna correct you on something because this came out of the mouth of quite a few police officers that I personally know it is OK to do 10 miles over the speed limit under certain conditions one you can’t have any road construction it has to be an unrestricted highway. it has to be speed of 55 or more. It cannot be in town at a 25 mph area follow those two rules stay safe and no cop mess with you and that’s mostly because a lot of of the times getting those to be prosecuted in court is hit and miss. The judge is more lenient towards the drivers and they are the cop because it’s only 10 over it’s not like it’s a huge big deal kind of thing and that’s the way it was explained to me one of the people that told me this was a narcotic detective in Covington Kentucky. Another one is a retired police chief from Milford plus numerous other officers that I’ve spoken to here and there throughout my job. It’s not a myth. You just have dickhead cops that have nothing better to do. Just wanna push an envelope probably cause they’re bored out of their mind and there’s nothing else going on most of the time they ignore it because they have more serious shit going on that needs to be taken care of and you’re a little measly 10 over is not worth their time or paperwork
