@mocrofootage: Ali Namdar, identified as a top figure in the Foxtrot criminal network, has been arrested in Morocco. The 21-year-old is suspected of having incited young people to commit a large number of violent acts in Sweden and is believed to have advanced in the network after the arrests of other Foxtrot leaders. “He is a strategically important person for the Foxtrot network, where he has a central role in instigating serious violent crimes and other crimes, says Theodor Smedius, superintendent at the police's national operational department (Noa). Ali Namdar has been internationally wanted by Interpol and is also on Europol's "most wanted" list. According to SVT, he was arrested in Tangier on Wednesday. This has been possible after a long and active effort by the police. It is truly a large-scale collaboration, says Theodor Smedius, who points out, among other things, that the Swedish police now have an agreement with the Moroccan police. And the Moroccan police have done a fantastic job and arrested this strategically important person for us.” High-value target The police have been following Namdar for a long time and have him as a so-called "high-value target" in Operation Grimm, which is being conducted under Europol. He is suspected of having instigated a series of serious violent crimes in several places in Sweden and is believed to have risen through the ranks within Foxtrot after other top figures were previously arrested. Our assessment is that during this period in which we have removed others, he has climbed the hierarchy in the Foxtrot network and become more and more important to them, says Smedius. According to SVT, the 21-year-old is suspected of, among other things, violent acts in Borås, Katrineholm and Uddevalla. He is being held in absentia in a total of five district courts and is suspected of a total of 18 crimes. In Borås, he is said to have instructed a 17-year-old boy and a 12-year-old girl to carry out hand grenade attacks in November last year. In Katrineholm, the suspicions also concern involvement in a planned bombing. Wanted in Norway Namdar has also been internationally wanted by Norwegian police since last summer, suspected of involvement in several acts of violence, including a grenade attack in September 2025. The police's assessment for some time now is that the Foxtrot network is now the only network that has a "national impact" on violence levels in Sweden. We are still making that assessment. But it is clear that the more fortunate and successful we become in crime prevention, the more difficult it will be for them, says Theodor Smedius. State Prosecutor Helene Gestrin says in a comment that an extradition request will be sent to Morocco, after which the Moroccan processing awaits. "Based on experience, it can take a few months," says Gestrin. #actualité #moroccotiktok #tangier #sverigetiktok #nyheter
