Is Jesus the Son of God, or is He God Himself? This question has confused many people. If Jesus is God, why does He pray to the Father in heaven? If the Father is God and the Son is God, are we worshiping one God or multiple gods? Today we are not here to argue, but to quietly return to the Bible. First, there is only one God The Bible says: “The LORD our God is one LORD.” (Deuteronomy 6:4) “I am the first, and I am the last; and beside me there is no God.” (Isaiah 44:6) From the very beginning, Scripture is clear: He is the one and only God. Second, God was manifested in the flesh The Bible says: “The Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us.” (John 1:14) “He that hath seen me hath seen the Father.” (John 14:9) “God was manifest in the flesh.” (1 Timothy 3:16) This does not mean there are two gods. It means that the invisible God personally came into the world in a visible form, so that mankind could know Him, see Him, and draw near to Him. In the flesh, Jesus had the appearance of a man: He grew tired, He became hungry, and He prayed. Yet in His divine nature, He is God manifested among men. We can use an imperfect example to understand this: Water can appear as liquid or vapor. It can take different forms, but its essence remains the same. Third, the goal is not argument, but knowing God Throughout history, there have been different understandings of God’s mystery. But what Scripture truly leads us into is not debate, but a humble pursuit of knowing the God we follow. The Bible reveals: There is only one God. This one true God has revealed Himself in a way that man can understand. In the Old Testament, He is known as Yahweh. In the New Testament, He is known as Jesus Christ. Yet He remains the same one God. When you truly know Him, confusion becomes light, questions become direction, and your heart is brought back into His presence. So today, do not remain in argument. Return to Scripture, seek quietly, and pray sincerely. If this message touches your heart, write: “Lord, lead me to know You more deeply.” And share it with someone who is still seeking answers. If you want to go deeper in the Bible, learn God’s Word, and prepare for the return of Christ, you are welcome to join our online Bible study group.
