the entire point of frankenstein is that a man creates a living being from his own hubris, abandons it when it becomes sentient enough to fight back and dies in his pursuit of it. it’s a caution tale against creating something bigger than yourself

that's really interesting, cause my main concern about ai is the fact that it encourages people to get Isolated, like how people view ai as some bestie or therapist which ai is not qualified to be, and the whole thing with replacing more and more people with ai in an industries that are heavily reliant on team work and human connections

“AI” is not intelligent and it’s NOT going to do anything to us. The HUMANS that created it are using it to destroy us and our world. That’s what I keep saying and everyone is always like “well that’s AI”. No ai is stupid and it depends on human input. We’ve created it and we can stop it. Science fiction is also a tool for discussing societal issues & spreading empathy for those different than us. Science fiction can be a lens for exploration of our shared humanity.
